Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups sifted flour
  • 4 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.
  3. Sift together flour, coriander, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  4. Blend into creamed mixture and add water; beat well.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
