- Cook the frozen corn and lima beans as directed on their packages; drain.
- Prepare 2 cups of white sauce.
- Add grated sharp Cheddar cheese to the white sauce and stir until melted.
- Chop the green onions, including the tops.
- Drain and chop the small can of pimento.
- Mix the cooked corn, lima beans, green onions, pimento, and cheese sauce together.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered casserole dish.
- Cover the casserole with croutons made from dry toast cut into small squares and browned in a small amount of oleo.
- Bake for about 1 hour at 350°F (175°C) or until thoroughly heated.
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated until reheating.
