Ingredients

  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup fresh corn

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp and brown; remove bacon and set aside.
  2. Add hot water and sugar to the bacon drippings in the pan.
  3. Bring to a boil; add shredded cabbage and fresh corn, then cover.
  4. Cook until just tender, about 7 minutes.
  5. Spoon into a serving dish; sprinkle with paprika.
  6. Garnish with the crisp bacon pieces.
