Ingredients

  • 2 c. self rising corn meal
  • 1 c. self rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients except butter.
  2. Pour the melted butter into the mixture and stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish or skillet.
  4. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
