Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1/3 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 16 oz canned tomatoes
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Brown ground meat, bell pepper, and onion in a skillet, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add canned tomatoes, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into a casserole dish.
  4. Prepare cornbread batter according to your preferred recipe or use a premade mix.
  5. Pour the cornbread batter evenly over the meat mixture in the casserole dish.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cornbread is golden brown.
