Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 cubed beef steaks
  • 1 envelope dry onion-mushroom soup mix
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 1 can mushrooms with liquid
  • 1 can beef gravy
  • 1 can water
  • flour
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Roll the beef steaks in flour and pepper.
  2. Brown the steaks lightly on both sides in hot oil.
  3. Place the browned steaks in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over the steaks.
  5. Layer canned mushrooms with liquid over the steaks.
  6. Add sliced onion on top.
  7. Mix the beef gravy with one can of water and pour over the layered ingredients.
  8. Cover the pan tightly with foil.
  9. Bake at 250°F for 3 to 4 hours.
