Ingredients

  • 1/2 jar Hormel bacon bits
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken, cooked and cubed
  • 16 oz. frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (condensed)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • 2/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. In the pan, combine cooked and cubed chicken, bacon bits, thawed vegetables, and 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Mix the cream of chicken soup with 3/4 cup milk and pour the mixture over the casserole ingredients.
  4. Cover the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the biscuits by mixing 1 1/2 cups Bisquick, 2/3 cup milk, and half a can of onions until well combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit batter around the edge of the casserole to form biscuits.
  7. Remove the casserole from the oven, uncover, and sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions.
  8. Bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
  9. In the last 2-3 minutes, bake until onions are toasted.
