Ingredients

  • 8 oz. soft cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, grated (2 heaping Tbsp.)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • dash of garlic salt
  • 1/2 bottle Heinz chili sauce
  • 6 oz. flaked crabmeat

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients except chili sauce and crabmeat until smooth.
  2. Spread the mixture on a round glass pizza dish, spreading out like a pizza crust.
  3. Pour Heinz chili sauce over the first layer.
  4. Well drain the crabmeat; do not rinse.
  5. Use paper towels to remove excess liquid from the crabmeat.
  6. Spread the crabmeat over the other layers.

Tips & Substitutions

For a lighter version, consider substituting Greek yogurt for the mayonnaise. If you're looking for a bit more spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture. Ensure you thoroughly drain the crabmeat to prevent a soggy crust. Using a pre-made pizza crust can save time, but for a unique twist, try using a cauliflower crust as a base.

Serving Suggestions

This Crab Meat Pizza makes a fantastic appetizer or a unique main dish when paired with a fresh green salad. Serve it warm or at room temperature, and consider offering a side of lemon wedges for an extra zing. It pairs beautifully with Linda Twelves' Barbecued Shrimp for a delightful seafood feast.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the pizza in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10-15 minutes, or until warmed through. Avoid microwaving, as it can make the crust soggy, detracting from its texture.
