Cranberry Catsup

A tangy, sweet-and-spicy cranberry catsup with warming spices, perfect as a condiment for meats or as a dip, adding vibrant flavor to holiday tables.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 2/3 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon cloves

Instructions

  1. Cook berries 15 minutes in 3/4 cup water in a covered pan. Force through a sieve.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and cook 12 to 15 minutes or until it thickens.
  3. Serve warm on ham, pork or turkey or store in a jar in refrigerator.
  4. Also excellent for a dip for little smoky links.
