Ingredients

  • 15.6 oz. cranberry bread mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 egg
  • 16 oz. can pears, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease the bottom of an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cranberry bread mix, water, oil, egg, chopped pears, chopped nuts, and ground ginger.
  4. Stir by hand 50 to 75 strokes until dry particles are moistened.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 70 to 80 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 15 minutes in the pan, then remove and cool completely.
  8. Wrap the loaf tightly in foil for storage.
