Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 2 cups cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons orange marmalade
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted margarine; press onto the bottom of an 8-inch pan to form the crust.
  2. Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes, until cranberries pop.
  3. Stir in chopped nuts and orange marmalade into the cranberry mixture. Chill until ready to use.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla until well blended.
  5. Fold in whipped cream or Cool Whip until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust.
  7. Spoon the chilled cranberry mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Chill the assembled dessert overnight before serving.
