Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 small brick cream cheese
  • 1 can whole milk

Instructions

  1. In a 6-inch metal bowl, put 1/4 cup sugar and heat on high while stirring constantly until the sugar melts and becomes fairly dark.
  2. Remove the caramelized sugar from heat and set aside.
  3. In a blender, combine egg yolks, condensed milk, vanilla, salt, and cream cheese.
  4. Blend well until smooth.
  5. Pour the blended mixture into the metal bowl with the caramelized sugar.
  6. Cover the bowl with aluminum foil and secure with a rubber band around the edge.
  7. Place the bowl in a larger container or steamer and steam until set, about 30 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool and refrigerate before serving.
