Cream Corn Custard

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 1/2 oz.) cream-style corn
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • dash of ground nutmeg
  • 2 c. half and half cream

Instructions

  1. Stir corn, eggs, cheese and green pepper together.
  2. Combine flour, sugar and seasonings.
  3. Add to corn mixture.
  4. Stir in half and half.
  5. Spoon into a greased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  6. Set baking dish in a deep pan and add one inch hot water to outer pan. Bake in preheated 325° oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
