Crisp Chocolate Truffles

- In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, combine marshmallow cream, margarine, and chocolate chips.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth; remove from heat.
- Stir in the rice cereal until thoroughly combined.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets.
- Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
- In a double boiler over hot water, melt the white coating and shortening.
- Dip each chocolate ball into the melted coating and place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets.
- Decorate with sprinkles, if desired.
- Refrigerate until the coating is firm.
- Place in small candy paper cups to serve.
