Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 cups cabbage, sliced thin
  • 1 cup celery soup
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 cups corn flakes
  • 1 cup grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the sliced cabbage in boiling water for about 10 minutes; drain.
  2. Combine the celery soup, mayonnaise, milk, and salt; heat until warm.
  3. Mix melted margarine with the corn flakes.
  4. Pour half of the corn flakes into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish to form the base.
  5. Alternate layers of cabbage and sauce in the casserole dish.
  6. Top with the remaining corn flakes and grated cheese.
  7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes at 350°F until bubbly and golden.
