Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tomatoes, drained
  • 2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, brown the ground chuck and drain on paper towels.
  2. Put all ingredients into a 4-quart crock-pot and stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 to 12 hours.
