Ingredients

  • 1 (18 1/2 oz.) package chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (3.9 oz.) package instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, water, and oil in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased crockpot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
