Ingredients

  • saltines
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Layer a single layer of saltines in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Boil together margarine and brown sugar.
  3. Pour the boiling mixture over the crackers.
  4. Bake for 7 minutes at 400°F.
  5. Remove from oven, place on oven door to cool slightly.
  6. Spread chocolate chips over the hot crackers.
  7. Stir slightly until the chocolate chips are melted and spread evenly.
  8. Can be frozen for storage.
