Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce or ketchup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans pork and beans
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground chuck slightly in a skillet.
  2. Drain the excess fat from the browned beef.
  3. Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, pork and beans, and tomato sauce to the skillet.
  5. Cook slowly for 10 to 15 minutes to blend flavors.
