Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1 cup nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix beaten egg, sugar, and margarine together.
  2. Add chopped dates to the mixture.
  3. Put the mixture in an electric skillet and cook for 5 minutes at 300°F until it becomes a thick paste.
  4. Let the mixture cool.
  5. Add vanilla flavor, Rice Krispies, and nuts to the cooled mixture and mix well.
  6. Roll the mixture into small balls.
  7. Roll the balls in coconut to coat.
