Instructions
- Pour boiling water over dates; let stand.
- Cream oleo, sugar and egg.
- Add water and dates to creamed mixture.
- Add flour sifted with soda and salt, vanilla and nuts.
- Pour into bread loaf pan.
- Bake at 350° for about 1 hour.
- Wrap in foil 1 day before slicing.
