Date Nut Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans)

Instructions

  1. Measure all dry ingredients into a sifter.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Beat eggs in a large bowl; add sugar and pumpkin.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Add all dry ingredients with small amounts of oil and water.
  6. Mix well. Add dates and nuts.
