Date Triangles

Instructions
- Grease 7-inch square shallow baking pan.
- Place dates, walnuts and water in a saucepan and cook gently until soft enough to spread.
- Place oats, flour and sugar in a bowl and add margarine. Mix until fat is absorbed.
- Put half the cookie mixture into the pan and press well down.
- Cover with the date mixture.
- Cover with reserved half of cookie mixture, crumble if desired.
- Bake for 55 minutes in a 350° oven.
- When cool, cut into triangles.
