Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider using ground turkey or chicken instead of hamburger meat as a healthier alternative. You can also swap the cream soups for homemade versions to control sodium levels. If you're looking for a spicier kick, add some jalapeños or use spicy taco seasoning. This dish is versatile, so feel free to incorporate veggies like bell peppers or corn from your favorite Mexican recipes.

Serving Suggestions

Serve David's Surprise with a side of fresh guacamole or a simple green salad for a balanced meal. It pairs beautifully with Sara's Taco Soup for a comforting dinner spread.
