Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • olive oil (enough to cover bottom of skillet)
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 lb. spaghetti or other noodles

Instructions

  1. Cover bottom of large skillet with olive oil and saute onion and garlic until golden.
  2. Add meats and cook until brown.
  3. Add all other ingredients except pasta and simmer on lowest setting at least 1/2 hour (the longer the better).
  4. Cook noodles and mangia!
