Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 cans (11 oz.) mandarin oranges, drained
  • 20 oz. can pears, drained and chopped
  • 3 kiwi fruits, peeled and sliced
  • 2 large unpeeled apples, chopped

Instructions

  1. Drain pineapple; reserve juice.
  2. Set pineapple aside.
  3. Pour juice into a small saucepan.
  4. Add sugar and flour; bring to a boil.
  5. Quickly stir in the beaten egg; cook until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and cool.
  7. Refrigerate the sauce until chilled.
  8. Chop the drained pears and apples, slice the kiwis.
  9. Combine the pineapple chunks, drained mandarin oranges, chopped pears, sliced kiwis, and chopped apples in a large bowl.
  10. Pour the cooled sauce over the fruit mixture and toss gently to combine.
