Ingredients

  • 8 pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 teaspoons brown sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Put pork chops in a baking dish.
  2. Mix ketchup and water; pour over pork chops.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon brown sugar onto each chop. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Place 1 lemon slice on each chop.
  5. Cover and bake in a slow oven (275° to 300°F) for 2 hours.
  6. Add more ketchup and water mixture if it gets too dry. Baste the pork chops.
  7. Uncover the dish during the last 30 minutes of baking.
