Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 c. canned sliced mushrooms
  • 6 bacon strips
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • lettuce leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, garlic salt, and pepper; mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into six patties, each about 3/4-inch thick.
  3. Cook the patties on a grill or skillet over medium heat until desired doneness.
  4. Cook bacon strips until crispy, then crumbled.
  5. Sauté sliced mushrooms until tender.
  6. Toast hamburger buns if desired.
  7. Assemble each burger by spreading mayonnaise on the buns, adding lettuce, tomato slices (optional), cooked patties, shredded Cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and sautéed mushrooms.
