Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground meat
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion or 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup corn flakes
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • bacon strips

Instructions

  1. Mix ground meat, 1/2 cup ketchup, egg, onion or minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, and salt well by hand.
  2. Add corn flakes to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  3. Form the mixture into a loaf and place it in a roaster pan.
  4. Spread 1/3 cup ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Lay bacon strips over the ketchup layer.
  6. Add water to the pan around the meatloaf.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
