Ingredients

  • broccoli or cauliflower or carrots or any combination of favorite vegetables, cooked and drained
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sour cream

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients except the vegetables with the cup of milk until smooth.
  2. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring until it thickens.
  3. Gradually stir small amounts of hot mixture into the sour cream to temper it.
  4. Combine the heated mixture with the cooked vegetables and mix well.
  5. Serve immediately, reheating if necessary, but do not boil.
