Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 lb. round steak, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. fat
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Dredge the steak cubes in the flour mixture.
  3. Brown the meat slowly on all sides in hot fat.
  4. Add the sliced onion, tomato sauce, water, and dry mustard.
  5. Cover and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes.
