Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups cubed potatoes
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frypan.
  3. In a bag, combine flour, salt, pepper, and dry mustard.
  4. Shake the meat in the bag to coat, then brown the meat in the heated skillet.
  5. Slowly sprinkle the remaining flour from the bag into the fat and stir well.
  6. Add water and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet.
  7. Pour the meat and mixture into an oven-safe dish and cover.
  8. Cook in the oven for 2 hours.
  9. Add chopped vegetables and dill, then cook uncovered for an additional hour.
