Ingredients

  • melted butter or oleo
  • salt
  • pepper
  • fresh ground nutmeg
  • potatoes
  • sour cream
  • chives

Instructions

  1. Melt oleo in a flat baking dish.
  2. Use just enough to cover the bottom of the dish.
  3. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and freshly ground nutmeg over the butter in the dish.
  4. Slice potatoes in half and place, cut side down, in the dish.
  5. Lightly butter the potato skins.
  6. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 45 to 60 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  7. Serve hot with sour cream and chopped chives.
