Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
  • 5 slices French or Italian bread, cubed

Instructions

  1. Cream together the margarine and sugar.
  2. Add the beaten eggs and mix well.
  3. Add the crushed pineapple and cubed bread to the mixture.
  4. Mix until combined; the mixture may look curdled.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 40 to 50 minutes until cooked through and golden.
