Dill Sandwiches are delightful rolled treats featuring crisp pickles, creamy cheese, and fresh onion, perfect for parties or a savory snack that appeals to a wide crowd.

Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 large dill pickles
  • large loaf Roman Meal bread
  • 1 small white onion
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • several shakes garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Trim crust off slices of bread.
  2. Mix minced onion, softened cream cheese, and mayonnaise together.
  3. Cut each pickle into even strips, usually 6 per pickle.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture over a slice of bread.
  5. Place a pickle strip in the middle of the bread and roll up.
  6. Refrigerate the rolls overnight.
  7. Before serving, slice each roll into approximately 1/2 to 3/4-inch slices using an electric knife.
