Double Boiler Pudding

- Toast the bread slices and butter them.
- Cut the toasted bread into cubes.
- Place the brown sugar in the top of a double boiler.
- Add the bread cubes to the sugar, then add the raisins on top.
- Beat the eggs and mix with the milk.
- Pour the milk and egg mixture over the bread and raisins without stirring.
- Cover and place the double boiler over boiling water that is half full of cold water.
- Cook gently for 1 hour until set.
- Turn out into a serving dish and serve warm, allowing the brown sugar to form a sauce.
