Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups (16 oz. can) chocolate syrup
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  2. In a large mixer bowl, beat together flour, sugar, softened butter, eggs, and chocolate syrup until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Allow the dessert to cool completely in the pan.
  5. Spread the Mint Cream Layer over the cooled cake and chill.
  6. Pour the Chocolate Topping over the chilled dessert and smooth the surface.
  7. Cover and chill the dessert before serving.
