A hearty double crust taco pie with seasoned ground beef and melted Monterey Jack cheese, perfect for a flavorful family dinner or casual gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (1 1/2 oz) package taco seasoning mix
  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 4 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • sour cream
  • salsa

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, stirring to crumble meat.
  2. Drain well.
  3. Add taco seasoning mix and prepare according to package directions.
  4. Set meat mixture aside.
  5. Unroll one can of crescent rolls into two rectangles; press long sides together to make a 13 x 8-inch rectangle.
  6. Repeat process with second can of crescent rolls; set aside.
  7. Place the first rectangle of dough on an ungreased baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle with 2 cups of shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
  9. Spread ground beef mixture evenly over the cheese.
  10. Sprinkle with remaining 2 cups of cheese.
  11. Top with the second rectangle of dough, pressing all edges to seal.
  12. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes or until browned.
  13. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and jalapenos.
