Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. salad oil
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • oil
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except oil and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix until smooth.
  2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into hot oil and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes each side.
  4. Remove puffs from oil and drain on paper towels.
  5. Roll the warm doughnut puffs in powdered sugar before serving.
