Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter, sugar, and beaten eggs.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, and vanilla.
  3. Add the sifted mixture to the creamed ingredients and mix well.
  4. Refrigerate the dough until firm.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a cookie sheet, leaving space between each.
  6. Place chopped nuts on top of each cookie and press down lightly.
  7. Bake at 350°F until cookies are slightly brown around the edges.
