Ingredients

  • 1 lb. melted butter or margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. oatmeal
  • 2 c. Grape-Nuts flakes
  • 4 c. Wondra flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine melted butter or margarine, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  2. Blend in eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Add oatmeal and Grape-Nuts flakes to the mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix Wondra flour with baking powder and baking soda.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  6. Drop rounded teaspoons of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet, allowing plenty of space between each.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
