Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon soda

Instructions

  2. Save 1/2 cup of the mixture for use as topping.
  3. Add egg, sour milk with soda, and vanilla to the mixture and blend well in one bowl.
  4. Pour the batter into a well-greased and floured 8-inch square cake pan.

  6. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
