Dutch Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1 lb flat noodles, cooked
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen spinach
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup butter (the real thing)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • salt and black pepper
  • cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon until crisp then crumble and set aside.
  2. Thaw frozen spinach and squeeze out water.
  3. Melt butter in large saucepan.
  4. Add spinach and garlic and saute 3-5 minutes on medium heat.
  5. In saucepan combine all remaining ingredients and heat over low heat for five minutes.
  6. Pour over noodles, add bacon and toss gently.
