Earthquake Cake is a delightful dessert that combines the rich flavors of German chocolate cake with creamy layers of cream cheese and a crunchy topping of pecans and coconut. Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 c. powdered sugar
  • 3/4 c. pecans, chopped
  • 1 c. coconut

Instructions

  1. Cover the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan with coconut.
  2. Sprinkle pecans over coconut.
  3. Mix the cake as box directs and pour over coconut and pecans.
  4. Mix cream cheese, melted butter, and powdered sugar until the mixture is slightly thick.
  5. Drop the cream cheese mixture over the cake and bake until done at 350°.
  6. The cake will crack open. Frost with Coca-Cola icing.
