Ingredients

  • 4 cups uncooked oats
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cans applesauce

Instructions

  1. Mix oats, sugar, and cinnamon in a mixing bowl.
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. Combine the melted butter with the oatmeal mixture.
  4. Pour half of the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch cake pan and press to form a crust.
  5. Spread the applesauce over the crust.
  6. Add the remaining oatmeal mixture on top of the applesauce.
  7. Use a spoon to smooth and lightly press into the top to form a crust.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
