- Start oven at 325°F and chop pecans rather coarsely.
- Cream butter and shortening together until smooth, then beat in confectioners sugar gradually.
- Stir in sifted cake flour thoroughly and add vanilla and chopped pecans.
- Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cookies are a very delicate light brown.
