Ingredients

  • 6 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups warm milk
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup shortening

Instructions

  1. Place sugar, warm milk, 2 cups of flour, and salt in a bowl and beat for 2 minutes.
  2. Add beaten eggs and shortening to the mixture and beat for one minute.
  3. Add the rest of the flour and stir until a dough is formed.
  4. Let the dough raise for about 20 minutes or until it is easy to handle.
  5. Form the dough into biscuits or buns.
  6. Let the formed dough raise again.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown.
