Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Karo light or dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
  • 4 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Mix pecans, 2/3 cup brown sugar, the corn syrup, and 1/4 cup margarine in a rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches; spread to cover bottom of pan.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Stir baking mix and milk until dough forms; beat 20 strokes.
  4. Turn onto a surface dusted with baking mix; gently roll in baking mix to coat.
  5. Shape into a ball; knead 10 times.
  6. Roll dough into a rectangle, 15 x 9 inches; spread 2 tablespoons margarine over surface.
  7. Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the rectangle.
  8. Roll up tightly, beginning at the 15-inch side. Pinch the edge of the dough into the roll to seal well.
  9. Cut into twelve 1-1/4 inch slices.
  10. Arrange cut sides down in the prepared pan.
  11. Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
  12. Immediately invert onto a heatproof serving plate.
  13. Let stand 10 minutes.
  14. Carefully separate rolls and serve warm.
