Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can Great Northern or pinto beans
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except half of the grated cheese in a bowl.
  2. Pour the mixture into a well-greased 8-inch square pan.
  3. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.
  4. Sprinkle the reserved cheese on top and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
  5. Allow the dish to set for 10 minutes after baking.
  6. Cut into squares and serve.
