Ingredients

  • sliced almonds or chopped nuts
  • 1 (2-layer) cake mix (white or yellow)
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 small pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1 large carton Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Mix the cake according to the package directions.
  2. Bake in a prepared jelly roll pan at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Cool completely.
  4. Mix the softened cream cheese, milk, and vanilla instant pudding mix until smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled cake.
  6. Drain the crushed pineapple and spread it evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Whisk together Cool Whip and powdered sugar until well blended.
  8. Spread the Cool Whip mixture over the pineapple layer.
  9. Sprinkle sliced almonds or chopped nuts on top as a garnish.
